This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTELY do not do this one ANY justice!!
The
casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint
was done.
No Body Mods but, this was a tough car to paint due to the multiple
parts!! The hood, roof, and body were all painted separately!!!
The roof was also primed with Plastic Adhesion Promoter prior to
paint!! And she is riding
on some nice chrome Rims with White Wall Real Riders!!!!
Rolls Nicely!!!!! Looks Classy!!!!!!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint. Plus, Alclad Chrome Lacquer!!!
It started with a Ultra Smooth Urethane Jet BLACK base color, Then
I laid on a coat of Alclad Chrome!!! This was followed with CHERRY
RED CANDY everywhere except the front body inserts....which were done
with a fade of Candy Pagan Gold and Candy Tangerine!!!!! Light sanding
then light clear preceded the ChromaLusion Gold To Magenta flames
on the hood and top!!!!!!! Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats
making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!! This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words
fail to describe what your eyes actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... The Flames WILL GLOW and MELT into this KILLER "SpectraFlame"
Red Candy at different lights and viewing angles!!!!
This paint was pretty tricky
and a the multiple parts quite time consuming to do, but, the end
result is one
VERY
SLICK
BBBUICK!!!!
MANY DETAILS were added in Alclad Chrome Lacquer!! All window trim,
side trim, head lights, and tail lights done!!!
This CLASSY
BUICK WAGON Now has a most honorable spot in HWC AMY's collection!!!!!
