This is a 1/64 scale VINTAGE SERIES casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they do not do this paint justice!!
The
casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint
was done. I removed the Redlines and replaced them with a VERY NICE
Set of JL RUBBER TIRES and Chromed "Cragar" wheels!!! They
had to be "tubed" to get them at the right length for this
casting and epoxied in place in the freshly slotted base!!!
And it rolls a great as it looks!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
It started with a JET BLACK base color, then I added a set of flames
in High Metallic Silver!!!!! A coat of Candy GOLD was faded at the front
nose and roof. Followed with MORE Silver Flames, Candy gold, then Candy
Tangerine, Candy Red, and Candy Purple were FADED over the flames!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!!
This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes
actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... The Flames almost "GLOW" due to the TRUE
CANDY paint and multi-layer flame process!!!
The final touches included details to the engines, exhaust tips,
and tail lights were done with TWO COLORS!!!!
