8 CRATE!!!!

This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTE
LY do not do this paint justice!!

The casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint was done.
No Major body mods, but, the stock purple glass was replaced with custom cut, fitted, and in the case of the front windshield, CURVED CLEAR GLASS!!! Made from clear blister pack stock, all parts were cut and shapped to fit then VERY carefully glued in place at the edges so that the glue would not be obviously visible from the outside!! The front, rear, and both sides were done, leaving the roof open to see the killer interior/engine accented with Candy Red!!!! Getting the glass parts replaced took almost 2 HOURS in itself!!
I also had to use Marine Epoxy to get the KILLER 5 spoke Dubs in the right position and level them out as well!! But, they really look great and roll nicely on this Modern Dark Rider!!!

The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
PLUS!!! The Main Ingredient for Black Chrome....
Alclad Chrome Lacquer!!!!

It started with a JET BLACK base color, then after it was CLEARED for a nice smooth surface for the Alclad Chrome lacquer!!! While the clear was still tacky, I shot a light coat of the Alclad Chrome on!! After this coat was dry enough to touch, I added a set of Flames!!!
Not stopping there, I also added a SECOND LAYER of dlames on the hood and roof!!!!
This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes actually see in person!!! The red and blue you see in some of the pics is a reflection of my curtains and some HW packs from my walls!!!
Its just THAT shiny!!!!!!!
NO FREAKIN' KIDDING...... I just cant find the words to accurately describe what this stuff does in person,
but, TRUST ME.....IT IS KILLER!!!

Now, I do have to say that because of the way the Alclad paint has to be applied to get these effects, there is no clear over it, but, rather under the chrome paint. Otherwise, this marvelous Chrome finish would look like a normal High Metallic silver!!!

I also Detailed the tail lights with Candy Red and the original gray base was primed with Plastic Adhesion Promotor, shot with Urethane Black, then CHROMED with Alclad!!!!!!
