AWARD WINNING
"Candy Fade FLAMES"

DAIRY DELIVERY!!!!

This is a 1/64 scale casting.

I can't stress this enough, these pics
ABSOLUTELY do not do this KILLER piece justice!!

It is almost impossible to capture the incredibly SMOOTH color fade
in a still picture....TRUST ME....ITS KOOOOOL!!!!!

The Flames are REALLY NICE on this one and if you saw this one at the Irvine show, I think you will agree...if not....well, just wait until you are holding it in your hand!!!!!!!!

As for the rollers....I chose DUBS!!! The rears are from an Escalade and the smaller fronts from a Silverado!! They were meticulously LEVELED with SEVERAL precise modifications to the base and interior so that all four tires touch the surface at the SAME TIME!!!!
Plus....it rolls GREAT!!!!!!!

The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, plus, Alclad Chrome lacquer.

I started with a super smooth automotive grade primer and this was sanded and reprimed twice!! Then I used Alclad Chrome for the Flames...FOUR SEPERATE LAYERS of flames at that!!!!
Each layer of flames was given one coat of Candy Red to Candy Purple FADE and lightly sanded between each one!!!!!!!
These flames WILL more or less "melt" into the KILLER Candy Fade in some viewing angles!!!!!!

Finally, Clear was shot on in THREE coats...sanding with 1500 grit two times in the process which makes the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!!

The grill, Park, tail, and head lights were detailed with Alclad Chrome...some Amber Pearl for the park lights and Candy Red for the tail lights finishes it off!!!!
