CANDY TANGERINE TO PURPLE
Hot Rod TAIL DRAGGER!!!!

This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTE
LY do not do this paint justice!!

The casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint was done.
This one needed a little more attitude, so, I opened up the rear fender wells!!
Those Fender Skirts just had to go!!
Both sides were carefully matched up and after the grinding was done, all edges were filed and sanded smooth!!!!!

And she "had" to have some Meaty Rollers, so, a VERY NICE set of Deep Dish Preferred Mags w/rubber tires were installed!! The axles required shortening, and were secured into sections of brass tubing, then epoxied in place and carefully leveled so that all four wheels contact the surface at the same time!!! A few alterations were also done to the interior and base for these wheels to fit at a very low level!! They roll EXTREMELY WELL and look even better with the big rears showing in the opened fenders!!! PLUS, the rears fill the fenderwell space up much more than the stock wheels once did!!!!

The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
PLUS!!! Alclad Lacquers!!!!

It started with a PEARL BLACK URETHANE base color, then I added a few flames with Alclad Chrome and two coats of CANDY TANGERINE TO PURPLE was FADED over them!!!! Once this coat was dry, the process was repeated THREE MORE TIMES!!!
WAY KOOL FADE and LOTS OF FLAMES!!!!!!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats making the finish VERY SMOOTH!!!! This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... A lot of the Flames are Ghosty, and the rest will GLOW in some lights and angles of view..not to mention that the purple looks like SpectraFlame!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I Detailed the exhaust tips in black and headlights with Alclad Chrome!!
