These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTELY do not do this KILLER piece justice!!

Look at the pics and you will get an idea of what I am talking about, but, in person....you will be amazed at what you see!!!

This piece is one I did some time ago and have kept it "hidden" in my private collection until now!!



For the Rollers on this one...I used a NICE set of chrome slotted mags with killer rubber tires!!! The whole thing was "lowered" and precision cuts made to the base and interior sections to accomplish AND it rolls great too!!!!!!!!!!!
It needed a little "umph" to be associated with the "Hottest Band In the World" so, I also cut out the hood and placed an "Injected" engine from a MM CARtoons series in it!!!! When it all fit correctly, I used a small "hex head" machine screw to reassemble...which looks a lot like a "stock" rivet!!!!! The base is done with my "Black Chrome" finish as well!!!

The casting was stripped, cleaned, polished slightly, sanded, primed, sanded and primed again, prior to applying the top coats!!



The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint,
plus, Createx Auto Air and Alclad Chrome lacquer.
And I want to emphasize AGAIN that these pics do
ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTICE to the way this MetalFlake Tangerine
paint REALLY LOOKS!!!!!!

I started with a super smooth Urethane PEARL BLACK base color, then added a coat of Auto Air Fine Aluminum and the Hot Rod Sparkle Flakes were applied!!!
Then, I used 4 coats of HOK Candy Tangerine over the base color for TRUELY sparkling effect..just does not show in these pics the true effect!!! Then a light coat of HOK SG100 clear was applied and when dry, I masked off the bottom half, applied a nice flamemask on the nose, and used Auto Air black over the top for the two tone!!!
When this was heat set and dry, I applied a precision cut "KISS Logo" mask and then sprayed Auto Air Ruby GEM color shift!!! This is AIRBRUSHED PAINTED ON...is not a decal!!!

Finally, THREE MORE coats of PPG Urethane Clear was applied, making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!! THIS makes for a SPECTACULAR Sparkle and color change as well as making the flames to be pretty ghosty and change colors at DIFFERENT lights and angles....NO KIDDING...... The Pics do "ok" for the color shifts of the logo, but as for the sparkle of the MetalFlake Tangerine...just dont do it justice AT ALL!!!!!!
