SWITCHBACK !!!!
This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they do not do this Hot Rod justice!!
The
casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint
was done.
As far as Body mods, there are not any major changes, BUT..the least
obvious thing is the bottom edge!! I shaved a little more than 1/16"
off the bottom all the way around, then the NICE chrome Mags and
RUBBER tires (from an ACTION Funny Car) are also raised slightly
to lower the body via strategic mods to the chassis and interior!!
The rear tires are really WIDE Drag Slicks too!!!!!!
Also, you wont see any wheels raised above the surface!! GREAT CARE
was (and IS with all my kustoms!!) taken to get ALL four wheels
to make contact at the same time with NO rocking and they roll GREAT
TOO!!!!
And of course the MOST obvious modification is the KILLER NEW GRILL!!!!
It is donated from a Jada 62 Caddy!!
LOTS (and I mean LOTS) of precision cuts, grinds, and filings were
done to BOTH the Caddy grill piece and the opening in order to make
this work, but, it SURE IS COOL!!!!

The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, PLUS, Alclad Chrome Lacquer.
It started with a Ultra Smooth Urethane PEARL BLACK base color, Then
I laid on some Alclad Chrome Lacquer Flames topped with a FADE of
Candy Grandeur BLUE to Candy COBALT BLUE to Candy PURPLE!!!!! I then
repeated this process TWICE for a total of THREE LAYERS of Candy Flamage!!!!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!!
This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes
actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... The Flames WILL just GLOW!!!! And disappear into
the Dark and BEAUTIFUL CANDY Colors!!!!
The Base was primed with Plastic Adhesion Promoter, shot with Jet
Black Urethane, and finally done with Alclad Chrome!!!
