This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTELY do not do this SNAKE justice!!

The casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint or body mods were done.
Well, I cant say as I have seen this done before!!! As if the Viper actually needed any MORE power!!! LOL!!!
I started with removing the stock engine with my trusty dremel, leaving the stock exhaust, firewall, and most of the rest of the adjacent parts pretty much intact!!! Due to this removal of material however, the casting got very thin and weak just behind the wheels, so, I reinforced these areas with some strategically placed JB Weld and sanded it smooth!!!! A 41 Willys engine was trimmed and shaved to fit in the open cavity!!!!!
Once the engine was a near perfect fit and aligned straight, I measured out the hood opening requirements and broke out the dremel once again to grind out the hole, checked for proper clearance on the blower and adjusted it with a metal file until it just cleared the scoop!!!! It opens and closes smoothly now!!! In fact it works so freely that it has a tendency to not stay up!!!! Kinda unusual for a repainted hinged part to be this free!!!
This particular Viper is from the Preferred Series thus it already had those KILLER DeepDish Mags and rubber tires installed...cant take credit for that!! LOL!!! They look VERY NICE on this Viper though, so, I left them as is!!!!


The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
PLUS!!! Alclad Chrome Lacquer!!!!


It started with a BLACK Urethane base color, then the entire body was sprayed with ChromaLusion Red to Blue and a light clear was applied!! When dry, flames were added with ChromaLusion Gold to Magenta!!!!! Then, the Candy Brandywine Red was shot OVER the entire thing!!!!!! This makes for a VERY KOOL color due to the transparent Candy and the color changes of the ChromaLusion!!! It has a VERY dark and ominous look in most lights with the flames just showing themselves, then a slight change in light or angles of view makes this Snake DANCE!!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!! This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... ITS KILLER!!!!!!!








I also masked off and Detailed the head lights, tail lights, running lights, and hood air cleaners with Alclad Chrome and the tail lights were detailed with Hi Gloss Red while the running lights received Amber Pearl leaving a chrome ring around both sets of lights!!!!!
