Cadillac ESCALADE!!!!
This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTELY
do not do this paint justice!!
The
casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint
was done.
No major body mods except for thinning out those big a$$ exhaust
tips at the rear!!
I cut about 3/4 of the thickness off and filled the resulting holes
up with JB Weld, then painted them silver!!
Although its not obvious at first glance, I lowered this one quite
a lot too!! The 6 spoke Dubs are taken (appropriately enough!!)
from a Dub City Escalade!!! I used stainless steel tubing for axle
sleeves and these where secured to the base with a little more JB
Weld, then I reassembled the truck and made sure all four wheels
touched the surface at the same time and were LEVEL!!!
And let me tell you....this one will ROLL GREAT!!!!!
If it were a little heavier, it very well could be SMOKIN' on a
Downhill Track!!!!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
PLUS!!! Alclad Chrome Lacquer!!!!
It started with a PEARL BLACK URETHANE base color. Alclad Chrome
lacquer was used for the TRIBAL flames then a
TRIPLE COLOR CANDY FADE of
Grandeur Blue, Cobalt Blue, and Purple was applied!!!
2 part Urethane Clear was finally applied in three coats for ultimate
shine and protection!!!
This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your
eyes actually see in person!!!
The Candy Colors look a LOT like SpectraFlame and will absolutely
GLOW and the flames are VERY GHOSTY at times!!!
Features detailed exhaust tips, rear emblem, two color tail lights,
Head lights and grill were done with Alclad Chrome!!!!!!!
