04 First Edition!!!
64 IMPALA!!!!
This is a 1/64 scale casting.
I can't stress this enough, these pics
ABSOLUTELY do not do this KILLER piece justice!!

This
is one killer Fade!!! It
really looks great....and if you saw this one at the Irvine show,
I think you will agree...if not....well, just wait until you are
holding it in your hand!!!!!!!!
No outside mods to the body, but, it was a
little involved on the inside and interior to get this one lowered
as much as possible!!
As for the rollers....I chose a set of 5 spoke Dub City wheels and
Stainless Steel tubing was used for axle sleeves both in front and
back. These axles were then meticulously LEVELED so that all four
tires touch the surface at the SAME TIME!!!!
Plus....it rolls GREAT!!!!!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, plus, Alclad Chrome lacquer.
I started with a super smooth automotive grade primer and this was
sanded and reprimed twice!! Then I used Jet Black Urethane for the
base color!!!
I did TWO LAYERS of Flames with Alclad Chrome, each followed by
the KILLER CANDY FADE!!! Candy Pagan Gold to Tangerine to Purple!!!
Light sanding was done after each candy coat was dry, then the body
was "dusted" with Alclad Chrome and finally, two more
coats of HOK Candy color fade!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in THREE coats...sanding with 1500 grit
two times in the process which makes the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!
The door handles,
ALL WINDOW TRIM, and tail light section were detailed with Alclad
Chrome...
Candy Red for the tail lights finishes it off!!!!
