Cadillac ESCALADE!!!!
This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTELY
do not do this paint justice!!
The
casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint
was done.
This Caddy's Got Some Attitude!!! A set of Muscle Machine Fattys
and skinnies are tucked up inside the fenders!!! I lowered the ride
height as much as possible but left plenty of aggressiveness in
its stance!! Several modifications were made to the base and the
inner fenders were ground out quite extensively front and rear to
allow these meats to roll!!! I used JB Weld to secure them to the
base, then I reassembled the truck and made sure all four wheels
touched the surface at the same time and were LEVEL!!!
And....this one will ROLL GREAT!!!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
PLUS!!! Alclad Chrome Lacquer!!!!
It started with a Pure WHITE URETHANE base color.
Alclad Chrome lacquer was used for the flames then 2 coats of CANDY
CHERRY RED was applied!!!
Another layer of flames was done with Alclad and then it was given
4 MORE coats of Candy!!!!
2 part Urethane Clear was finally applied in three coats for ultimate
shine and protection!!!
This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your
eyes actually see in person!!!
The Candy Red over the white base makes for a Very Bright Red and
the flames will mostly appear darker or brighter than the main red
and are VERY GHOSTY!!!
Compare the pics and you should get an idea of how these things
look in person!!!!
Features detailed exhaust tips, rear emblem, two color tail lights,
side mirrors, Head lights and grill were done with Alclad Chrome!!!!!!!
