"PURPLE METALFLAKE"
BLOWN DAIRY DELIVERY!!!!
This is a 1/64 scale casting.
I can't stress this enough, these pics
ABSOLUTELY do not do this KILLER piece justice!!
It is almost impossible to capture the incredible sparkle of the
MetalFlake in a still picture....TRUST ME....IT SHINES!!!!!

This
is a color that is not done too often because of the work that it
takes to make it smooth after the large flakes are applied, but,
it really looks great....and if you saw this one at the Irvine show,
I think you will agree...if not....well, just wait until you are
holding it in your hand!!!!!!!!
The engine was cut from a pair of Way 2 Fast
powerplants and greatly smoothed and modified to fit in the Dairy's
new hood opening!!
Also the windshield and interior were modified to accept the new
motor WITHOUT the need for glue!!
As for the rollers....I chose a set of kool Preferred Series Slotted
mags and 1/16" brass tubing was used for new longer axles both
in front and back. These axles were then meticulously LEVELED so
that all four tires touch the surface at the SAME TIME and the is
NO rocking!!!!
Plus....it rolls GREAT!!!!!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, plus, Alclad Chrome lacquer
and Createx Auto Air for the Flakes.
I started with a super smooth automotive grade primer and this was
sanded and reprimed twice!! Then I used Createx Auto Air black base
and followed this with their Hot Rod Sparkle Metal Flake!!!
HOK SG-100 intercoat clear was then applied and after this was dry,
the entire body was "dusted" with combinations of HOK
Orion Silver, HOK Passion Pearl, and finally, three coats of HOK
Candy Purple!!!!
The flames were next and done with PPG Harlequin (ChromaLusion)
Red to Blue Color Shifting paint!!! They WILL more or less "melt"
into the KILLER Purple in some viewing angles!!!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in FIVE coats...sanding with 1500 grit
two times in the process to get the metalflake even with the surface....which
makes the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!!
This is INCREDIBLY KOOL!!
The base was cleaned, shot with Adhesion Promoter, PPG Urethane
Jet Black, and finally with Alclad Chrome!!!! The grill, Park,
tail, and head lights were detailed with Alclad Chrome...
some Amber Pearl for the park lights and Candy Red for the tail
lights finishes it off!!!!
