It did not win, but was in some GREAT company with the other "Honorable Mention" kustoms!!!!!

Hot Wheels
04 First Edition!!!

68 NOVA!!!!

This is a 1/64 scale casting.

I can't stress this enough, these pics
ABSOLUTELY do not do this KILLER piece justice!!

These are two KILLER COLORS....and if you saw this one at the Irvine show, I think you will agree...if not....well, just wait until you are holding it in your hand!!!!!!!!

No outside mods to the body, but, it was a little involved on the inside and interior to get the tires to clear!!

As for the rollers....I chose a set of kool Preferred Series Deep Dish mags and 1/16" brass tubing was used for new longer axles both in front and back. These axles were then meticulously LEVELED so that all four tires touch the surface at the SAME TIME and the is NO rocking!!!
Plus....it rolls GREAT!!!!!!!

The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, plus, Alclad Chrome lacquer.

I started with a super smooth automotive grade primer and this was sanded and reprimed twice!! Then I used Createx Auto Air black base and followed this with HOK Orion Silver then HOK Sunset Pearl...a shot of Intercoat clear was then applied and I then applied a few of my FlameMasks© over the top, sides, and hood....HOK Passion Pearl was airbrushed on and masks removed for those killer licks to show!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in FOUR coats...sanding with 1500 grit two times in the process which makes the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!!
This is INCREDIBLY KOOL!!

The grill and tail light section were blacked out and the front turn signals painted with Amber Pearl, Alclad Chrome was used on the hood pins...
Candy Red for the tail lights finishes it off!!!!
