This is a 1/64 scale casting.

I want to say also that the pics are pretty good, but,
No Kidding!! I can't stress this enough, they do not do this paint justice!!

The casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any body mods or paint was done.
A 56 Ford Panel truck was kind enough to donate its roof section!! I figured that the Switchback looks like a hybrid version of the 56 Ford, so, what better candidate for the transformation!!! It took a fairly substantial amount of work to accomplish this, but, it looks VERY natural!!
The new roof was cut and measured for fit, somewhat reshaped and then Marine Epoxy was used to make the bond. Lots of s
anding and filling with bondo filler, then priming and more sanding after the contours were matched and the body lines were actually "recut" with an Exacto Razor Saw, but, eventually she was perfectly matched to the Switchbacks body!! It was actually extended in the rear about 1/16" and the void between the castings was filled and sanded to look like a "rolled pan" at the lower rear!!!
Then of course there had to be some NICE DUB City 6 spoke "24s" Wheels and rubber tires installed is this one!!! They were lowered AND leveled so that they ALL touch the surface at the same time,
plus, the body rides VERY low!!!!!! This step took a bit of time, but, there is no side to side rock and not only do they roll pretty well, but, look GREAT too!!!

The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, PLUS Alclad CHROME Lacquer.

It started with a Urethane BLACK base color, then flames were added with Alclad Chrome!!!! Then, the Candy FADE was done THREE COLORS!!! Starting with Candy Grandieur Blue, to Candy Cobalt Blue, to Candy Purple!!!!!!!!! The Alclad Flames were repeated TWO TIMES followed with additional Candy FADE after each flame pattern!!!!!! I am not at all kidding when I say that this paint looks A LOT like "SpectraFlame" due to the highly reflective Alclad base/flames under that beautiful candy!!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!! This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... The Flames are VERY DEEP, Ghosty, and "glowing" and again, this CANDY is VERY Near SpectraFlame!!!!!!!

I also detailed the taillights in Alclad chrome then gave them a touch of Candy Red!!!!!!
