SPLITTIN' IMAGE!!!!
This is a 1/64 scale casting.
These pics are pretty good, but, I can't stress this enough,
they ABSOLUTELY
do not do this paint justice!!
The
casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any paint
was done.
This casting was from the recent main line release,
it is NOT an original redline car.
The rear wing was found in my salvage yard of parts and although
I am not completely certain, I believe it is from a Muscle Machines
Import Tuners car!!! I drilled some holes in the top of the casting,
then used Marine Epoxy to fill the gap while I also set the spoiler
legs in for a VERY solid fit!! Some smoothing and trimming was needed,
but, I got it primed and smoothed up so that it looks like the spoiler
was made for this casting....which even though this is one of my
favorite castings from my youth, I have always felt it needed a
wing!!!!!!
The wheels are from the Preferred Series. Nice Slotted Mags and
meaty rears with pretty skinny fronts!!! I DROPPED the front nose
considerably, which was another thing I have always though this
casting needed!!!! I did some pretty heavy grinding to the inner
front fenders and used Marine Epoxy to help support the new axle
height!! On the rears, they were lowered some too, but, they were
also moved forward slightly so as to set in the center of the fenderwells!!!
It required some modification to the interior section in order to
get it to set LEVEL and ROLL GREAT!!!!!
Here is a pic to show the difference in the stock version!!!!

There are a few other additions to this one
as well!!!
This casting is not equipped with a STEERING Wheel originally, so,
I added one from a Dub City Jada casting!!
I also drilled out the exhaust tips!!!!
And the engine has been fully wired!!!!
I used Blue 30 gauge Bead wire for this operation and drilled out
the original distributor TOP for the wires to start their journey!!
They are all secured on the inside of the engine with epoxy!!!
The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG
and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint.
PLUS!!! The Main Ingredient for Black Chrome....
Alclad Chrome Lacquer!!!!
It started with a Ultra Smooth Urethane Black base. Alclad PRISMATIC
Sapphire color changing paint was applied over the black for nice
sparkles and a cool but subtle change from Deep Blue to Deep Purple!!!!
ChromaLusion Red to Blue and Gold to Magenta were used for the flames
and applied in two separate layers for a cool Color Change and a
Killer Layered Flame Effect!!!!!
2 part Urethane Clear was finally applied in three coats for ultimate
shine and protection!!!
This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your
eyes actually see in person!!!
The Changing Colors will absolutely amaze you!!!!!!!
IF you have seen one of my kustoms in person before,
then, you know what I mean!!!!
If not, BELIEVE ME.....IT IS KILLER!!!

I
also Flamed the bottom!!!!!!!
