.........
that 5-O one must be chase version from the second release (I figured with 192 on the roof) or is it a one of custom
I just looked at my green chase one and its 1 of 240 so maybe my theory is off

The Police version is one of the "Mystery Chase" editions.  Not sure if the mystery stops there or not, but even tho Im not normally a fan of 5O themed rides...this one ROCKS!! Rock On Dude!
...I really like it and am proud to have 192 of 192 !!

.........I think would have been cool is to have the boom rotate
with a few minor adjustments to the body and a new placement of the boom this could be achieved

You will likely need to make the entire turret rotate if you go that route..or modify the top of turret, because the base of the boom is fit to the top of turret in a 'socket' that only allows it to move in one direction...even without the pin in place, the boom is still very stable in lowered positions.  Nice, tight tolerance engineering..very impressive.

WOW
that's awesome
I must have missed the police version I would have bought one of them
I got a blue one and a green apple chase version
that 5-O one must be chase version from the second release (I figured with 192 on the roof) or is it a one of custom

I wish the boom was metal but with out a cost increase you can't have everything
one thing that I think would have been cool is to have the boom rotate
with a few minor adjustments to the body and a new placement of the boom this could be achieved

......I just wish the plastic boom was white on a regular one to make it more custom friendly  Wink

Up Arrow No hill for a stepper OWNED!!!
I was able to get the orange one completely disassembled earlier.  just gotta be careful and patient whilst pushing out the 5 metal pins holding the boom apparatus together.  One end of each pin is 'knurled' /fits tight and the other is smooth with a slightly looser fit.
Very well engineered I must say after getting it torn down.
Now if I can get it painted and reassembled without messing anything up..Ill be happy! Very Happy

I’m not sure what kind of animal was molded into the back of this one, (I think it might have been a Dachshund or a large ferret), but since I went with a tiger theme on the outside, I figured I’d do the same to the critter.  I call him Chester…
Flames are off my decal sheet, paint is Mazda Pearl Black for an MPV mini van…

Congrats to the winners. Wish I could have been there to se how my entry did-pink plastic body lightweight/metal chassis, with just a wheel change, only had a couple of days to build it. Maybe someone will post pics of the winners + some of the other builds.
