      NOTE From KB :

Sheri (aka Medusa) of www.sherisWheels.com took the time to make the following How To for using my FlameMasks to get a Multilayer effect...
so...I thought I would make this a sticky post for everyone to see and moved it to this, the FlameMasks Section of the forum.

      THANKS SHERI!!!!  Great Job!!

One of my favorite castings,  if only this had a chrome base   Wink   This one will have.  Gonna give it a coat of Alclad like the others I have done in the past.

For this paint I started with just some spots of different colors,  masked with small KB flames,  lightly spraying and moving the masks from the back to front of the casting just a little at a time.........

Next,  a layer of intercoat clear to save my work.  Then on to the next layer........   larger tribal masks.

I lightly sprayed around these masks for this effect.........

DO YOU LIKE IT????   stay tuned to see completed pics.  Gotta chrome the base,  clear the body and pick out some shoes    Wink

Now why would I tell them anything about using the masks?? Wink Laughing LMAO!!

You could do it either way though 99....depends on the paint your using.
Using inners...the base paint color should be LIGHTER and the paint you lightly spray over the masks should be slightly DARKER, or contrasting.
If using OUTERS, the opposite would be more appropriate.

      THANKS SHERI!!!
And I agree with ya on this cast....easily my Fave McD's model!!!!  Like that Studebaker Wagon too, but not as much as this one!

KILLER Process shots too btw, THANKS for posting!!!!!!!!!! Great Work! Great Work!

Yeah....sorry I dont "get out much" lately...this place keeps me pretty busy most of the time!  Im glad to see ya here more often though!!!!! Very Happy

THANKS AGAIN For the step by step...I think I still have that one you did last year...somewhere...will have to see if I can find it!!!

Keep up the killer work Girl!!!! Very Happy
